Community Description:
The Armoury has served a variety of Military roles over the century. It currently holds 3 cadet corps (1226 RCACC, 6 RCACS, 573 RCACS), 31 Engineer Squadron,and The Fort Garry Horse. It is the focal point for Remembrance Day Services which attracts dignitaries and hundreds of guests, every year.
In 1987, the small park became the home of a Sherman tank and has since added an M1113, new memorial and stone plaques along with the LAV III Monument in 2019.
The Armoury’s vehicle park is regularly enjoyed by citizens and the youth from the nearby schools.
